Welcome to Mazima Workers. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our agricultural workforce platform that connects employers with employees and provides agent services for users without smartphones. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Platform Overview

Mazima Workers is a digital platform designed to:

  • Connect agricultural employers with qualified employees
  • Facilitate job postings and applications
  • Process payments through mobile money integration
  • Provide agent services for users without smartphone access
  • Ensure secure document verification and user authentication

3. User Categories and Responsibilities

3.1 Employers

  • Must provide accurate National ID and profile picture
  • Responsible for creating legitimate job postings
  • Must pay agreed wages through the platform
  • Should provide safe working conditions
  • Must treat employees with respect and dignity

3.2 Employees

  • Must provide accurate National ID and passport photo
  • Should perform work as agreed upon
  • Must maintain professional conduct
  • Should report any safety concerns or disputes

3.3 Agents

  • Must provide National ID, passport photo, and recommendation letter
  • Responsible for accurately representing users without smartphones
  • Must maintain confidentiality of user information
  • Should provide honest and reliable service

4. Account Registration and Verification

All users must:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Submit required documents for verification
  • Verify their email address through our verification system
  • Maintain the security of their account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

5. Payment Terms

Our platform integrates with mobile money services (MTN and Airtel) for secure payments:

  • All payments are processed in Ugandan Shillings (UGX)
  • Platform fees may apply to transactions
  • Employers must fund their accounts before posting jobs
  • Payments are released to employees upon job completion confirmation
  • Disputes must be reported within 7 days of job completion

6. Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

  • Posting false or misleading information
  • Engaging in fraudulent activities
  • Harassing or discriminating against other users
  • Using the platform for illegal activities
  • Attempting to bypass security measures
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

7. Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

  • Users should first attempt to resolve issues directly
  • Unresolved disputes can be escalated to our support team
  • We may mediate disputes but are not liable for outcomes
  • Serious violations may result in account suspension

8. Platform Availability

While we strive for 100% uptime, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or suspend services temporarily. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

Mazima Workers serves as a platform connecting users and is not responsible for the actual work performed, safety conditions, or disputes between employers and employees. Users engage with each other at their own risk.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
